Simple Machines Project

Hi this is our Simple Machines project. First we pull the string and the ball rolls down the inclined plane and it hits the train.The train is a wheel and axle.The train has a screw on the end of it.  The screw acts like a wedge, it hits the balloon and the balloon POPS.  By Emily, Sophie, Mia

The Pompano tar

First we cut pipe on an angle and zip tied them to a piece of card board . We made two pulleys, we glued them to the card board . We blew up a balloon, we found a plastic bottle, we tied string to the bottle and the other end to the balloon.We nailed four nails to the card board. We used a sinker at the top of the pipe we put the sinker down the pipe, it landed in the bottle. The pulleys pulled up the balloon and POP! The balloon popped in the box on the four nails. Our Simple Machines

Our simple machine was made by Jessica, Rose, Mackenzie and Campbell. First the ball goes through the tube ,which is an inclined plane and then the ball hits the rock . The rock falls on the edge of the lever and pushes down the lever . This lifts up the bucket which it siting on the other side of the lever .

Simple Machine Challenge

Hi Josh, Kalvin and Cody are going to try to get the marble into the box. We used two simple machines, an inclined plane and a screw. We placed the marble at the top of the screw, and let it go then it goes round the screw to gain speed then goes down the inclined plane and jumps into the box.

Simple Machine Project

This is our simple machines project that will hopefully ring a bell.The simple machines included in this project is the wedge, which was hot glued on the wood.The wedge was also attached to the car which was the fork.The inclined plane, is supported by wood.The wheel and axle which is on the cars wheels.The screw is used as a flag on the top of the car.What happens is that we put the car on the wedge and release the car with a push, then it rolls down the inclined plane and rings the bell. The Simple Machine Challenge

First at home Flynn and his dad built the base using screws,saws,grinders wood a tube and washers. Then Flynn took it to school , Sydney brought along some wood Max and Saxon helped add to it. So how it works, we stick the ball through the plastic pipe at the top, which is called an inclined plane. The ball rolls through the pipe then drops onto the lever. This puts weight on the lever and lifts it up. When it drops back it pops the balloon because attached to the lever is a sharp screw.

Reptiles Unit

These are our reptile brochures.First we went onto our chrome books and we chose a reptile that we wanted to study.Then we had to find information on our reptile under these headings diet , living style, protection and habitat.After we had taken notes on the reptile, we wrote all the information onto a brochure template which was sent to us by Mrs Hughes.🐍 It was a fun activity finding information and taking notes, they look real cool! The North Cross Intermediate Show

On Wednesday the 27 of May the North Cross Intermediate came to Bombay school and performed for us. It was a mixture of dancing, singing, and acting. They had lots of little jokes it was really funny. I guarantee that you would love it. Because we did. By Sasha and Kyle 😛
